Consumer Duty

CONSUMER DUTY

Copia’s Philosophy

Copia Capital Management (Copia), was created to help financial advisers provide their clients with a Discretionary Investment Management service, supported by a level of service that achieves good customer outcomes and helps meet their personal financial objectives.

We believe in doing everything possible to generate good customer outcomes and expect all services provided by Copia to help customers better understand their finances and inspire them to have confidence in their adviser and the services they provide.

Copia has set out a framework for product governance under Consumer Duty, ensuring that products and supporting services are designed with customer needs in mind and can demonstrate that they are being used appropriately by the intended target audience, ultimately leading to good outcomes for customers.

Target Market Assessments

Under Consumer Duty all providers, including Copia, must publish material documenting the target market for their products/services by 30th April 2023.

This will then allow you to make an informed assessment of whether they can provide a suitable solution for your target clients.

You can find target market assessments for all our portfolio ranges on the appropriate web page.

Value for Money Assessments

As well as communicating their target market, by 30th April 2023 all providers must also evidence that their products/services are of good value.

These assessments should form part of advisers’ research and due diligence process.

You can find value for money assessments for all our portfolio ranges on the appropriate web page.

If you’d like more guidance on meeting advisers’ obligations in terms of Consumer Duty, you can find out more and register for our Consumer Duty Toolkit here.
